Set up Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE

How to use Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE for automatic tax rates on Foxy, and the plan and configuration requirements.

Overview

Foxy supports Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE for automatic rate calculation. ONESOURCE spans several systems, so contact Foxy for details on your setup. Review Third-party tax services overview first.

Requirements

  • Requires an Advanced or Enterprise plan.

  • Configure all product categories to use ONESOURCE. Do not mix ONESOURCE and non-ONESOURCE rates in the same cart or transaction.

  • A store should use ONESOURCE exclusively. Mixing providers will cause the displayed tax total to differ from what is charged.

Steps

  1. 1

    Go to the Foxy admin, go to Settings > Integrations, and add a new integration with Provider set to ONESOURCE. The provider cannot be changed after the integration is created.

    Complete the required fields: Service URL, External company ID, From city (matching the postal code and country in your settings), Calling system number, and Host system. Set Audit and Company role as needed, plus the optional Custom product option name and Custom product order. Because ONESOURCE spans several systems, contact Foxy if you are unsure of these values.

    Create or edit a tax, turn on Calculate tax automatically, and set Service provider to Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE.
