Place an order on behalf of a customer

This article assumes that you have a UOE (Unified Order Entry) password set up in your Advanced Settings in the Foxy dashboard. If not, you can set it up here. To do so, check the box for enable unified order entry and specify the desired password.


Existing Customers

    Go to your Advanced Settings in the FoxyCart admin for your store. Here's a link: https://admin.foxycart.com/admin.php?ThisAction=EditAdvancedFeatures

    Copy the password from the "unified order entry password:" text box to your computer's clipboard.

  3. 3

    Go to your website and add the desired product(s) to the cart.

  4. 4

    Go to checkout and enter the customer's email address.

  5. 5

    Paste in the password that you copied from UOE settings in step 2.

  6. 6

    Change/enter any information for the customer and submit the order.


New Customers

    Go to your website and add the desired product(s) to the cart.

  2. 2

    Go to checkout and enter the customer's email address.

  3. 3

    Enter the information for the customer.

  4. 4

    At the bottom of the checkout screen, check the Save my address & payment info for next time. box and create a password for the customer.

    Submit the order.

    For security reasons, you can let the customer know that they should reset their password.

    Send them to the checkout (https://your-store.foxycart.com/cart?cart=updateinfo), tell them to enter their password, then click the Forgot password? link to reset. Be aware that they won't see the Forgot password? link until they've entered their email address.

If you want to create an order without saving the customer details, you'll simply set the Save my address & payment info for next time. box to unchecked and not set a password.
