Bundled products overview
How bundled and grouped products work, including parent and child product relationships.
Foxy lets you add multiple products to the cart in a single click. There are two approaches depending on whether the products are related:
Bundled products use a parent/child relationship. The child product is attached to the parent — when the parent is deleted from the cart, the child is deleted too. Use this when products should be sold together and not managed independently, such as a CD and a poster sold as a package.
Grouped products add multiple products to the cart at once without a parent/child relationship. Customers can remove or adjust quantities on each product independently. Use this for accessories or ensemble items that happen to be added together.
Both approaches use the same integer prefix system (1:, 2:, 3:, etc.) to group products in a single link or form.
Notes
A cart is limited to a maximum of 250 products per transaction.
Each product supports a maximum of 100 custom options.
Only products with subscription parameters will recur on a subscription. If you bundle a non-subscription product with a subscription product, the non-subscription product will not be included in future renewals.
If you bundle subscription products with different subscription parameters, they will become separate subscriptions. If they share the same parameters, they will be on the same subscription.
