Why multi-homed bandwidth is essential for ecommerce

When ISPs don’t get along, connectivity problems ensue. Wired has an article describing the importance of multi-homed bandwidth for your hosting.
Having worked at a dedicated server provider that sat right on top of 11 tier–1 fiber providers, I’ve seen how these types of decisions play out and how frustrating they are, so we thought we’d call attention to the fact that we are currently on multi-homed bandwidth, and will remain on multi-homed bandwidth as we migrate our servers to a new provider in the coming weeks. It doesn’t guarantee uptime, but it’s certainly a good idea, particularly for your ecommerce provider.
