New Feature: Shared Coupon Codes
February 19, 2020 - Product Updates
Even though our team has been hard at work on some pretty exciting new features, like our new drop-in customer portal (more info coming soon), we’re always on the lookout for small improvements that have a big impact.
Today we’re excited to tell you about our new shared coupon code feature. This new feature opens up a world of possibilities for creating fully customized discount promotions.
In the past, all coupon codes were unique and could not be reused between coupons. Now, you can reuse coupon codes between multiple coupons, allowing for powerful discount configurations.
For example, let’s say you’re promoting the coupon code BIGSALE to your customers. Instead of being stuck with one set of discount rules for this coupon code (ex: Discount by 10% if order total is $50 or more), now you can offer a 10% discount for some products, a $5 discount for other products, and a 15% discount for others, all with the same code.
You can start using the new shared coupon code feature by enabling the “shared codes allowed?” option in your coupon settings. Full documentation can be found here. We can’t wait to see how you use this new feature. Feel free to share your use case in the comments below. If you run into any issues or have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
